Web Map Help for the Map located on the Tab labeled Map 8/09/2012
NOTE- 14 mile course is correctly displayed but the 36 course is not. The Chandler Ridge portion
that is the large loop around the lake is no longer part of the course. The Romance Mountain section has been
added but not displayed on this map.
The interactive map was designed to help runners familiarize themselves with the
course. The two race options are displayed separately. The 14 miler is displayed
as a dashed, purple line. The 36 miler is displayed as a solid, orange line. Aid
Stations have also been displayed.
By clicking on any of the features (course line or aid stations), a brief
description will display.
Map Extent (Zoom In/Out).
The user can zoom in by toggling the '+' button and can zoom out by toggling the '-'
button. These buttons are located on the left hand side of the map.
Pan
The user can pan around the map by simply right clicking and dragging.
Legend
The legend can be toggled on and off by clicking the 'Legend' button in the upper
left corner of the map. The legend window will appear on the left side of the
map when toggled on. The user has the control to turn layers on and off with in
the legend window by clicking the check box next to the layers name.
Background Imagery/Topo
An assortment of images are available to the user for displaying as the background
map. The default option is topography, however, imagery is also recommended. The
background map option is controlled by toggling the button 'Basemap' in the
upper right hand corner of the map.
